Laboratory of Antenna Technology (LTA) is a measurement facility of Laboratory of Antenna Theory and Computational Electromagnetism, whose main task is to design and test parameters of antennas and radio devices.
LTA is equipped with FAR (Fully Anechoic Room), in which a universal measuring station is installed, equipped with a multifunctional robot and allowing measurements of:
Measurements of antenna field parameters such as: realised gain, radiation pattern, directivity, antenna efficiency are performed both in the far field and, in the case of large antennas, in the near field of the antenna. The software installed on the test station allows also for quick antenna diagnostics, i.e. indication of malformed areas in the antenna.
Radio devices are measured using the OTA (Over the Air) technique, i.e. without connecting the device to the measurement system with cables. This solution allows, among others, to measure spatial radiation characteristics and sensitivity of radio devices. The laboratory conducts tests of devices operating in all common radio systems, ie: GSM 900/1800, WCDMA, LTE, WLAN and Bluetooth. Measurements in extreme conditions and thermal shocks can be performed in a climatic chamber.
